Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2017 | Outdoor Kitchen Options and Garden Rocks Concert

The views at Epcot with the flowers in full bloom were spectacular at the 2017 Flower and Garden Festival.

It was a fantastic day filled with, great food, great music and of course the real stars of Epcot the beautiful topiaries throughout Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival. In case you missed it be sure to check out my time at the Royal Tea Garden tour by Twinings Tea.

Flowers, Flowers, and more Flowers

The topiaries were amazing and whimsical, something only Disney could do, and they did it beautifully. I did not get a chance to make it around to all of the topiaries, but that just means I will have to grab my passport and hunt them all down next time. I did make sure to hit the ones I wanted to see:

Beauty and the Beast

Bambi, Thumper, and Flower

Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie

The Chipmunks

Want to see more topiaries? Check them out here.

Outdoor Kitchen Food Options

The 2017 Flower and Garden festival comes with a whole new set of menu options. We had the opportunity to sit down and try out the new menu options and they were amazing! Some of the new options include:

Field Greens with fresh Strawberries, Blue Cheese, Strawberry Vinaigrette and Spice Pecans

Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer with Steamed Rice and Coconut Lime Sauce

Seared Scallops with French Green Beans, Butter Potatoes, Brown Butter Vinaigrette and Apple wood Smoked Bacon

Beef Brisket Burnt Ends Hash – with white cheddar fondue and pickled jalapeños

Warm Cheese Strudel with Mixed Berries

You can find these food options available at the Outdoor Kitchen kiosks throughout the world showcase, prices average $4-$6 per plate.

Best Beer Find of the Day!

I love my beer, my husband is not a fan but I am always on the lookout to find something that I think he would like, and I think we found it in Founders Rubeus Pure Raspberry Ale. We were able to speak with Nikie Cassoni a certified Cicerone that works closely with Disney to ensure they have the best beer on tap for their visitors.

Update: I was able to find it! The Founders Rubeus Pure Raspberry Ale was at ABC Liquors for $11.99 for a 4 pack.

Captain Ron The Conservation Dog

After the amazing lunch we had, we walked it off in the Festival Center where we got the chance to meet Captain Ron. He is soooo adorable!

This little guy is the Dinsey Conservation Teams Sea-Turtle-Egg-Detection Dog. We met him and his human PePe. We went over the time and training it takes for little Ron to find and detect sea turtle eggs.

Now I would really enjoy seeing something like this. I love plants and gardening. I am amazed with how meticulous the trimming is on the sculptures!
