We have been working with the kids to introduce more fresh fruit and veggies into the mix. We usually do it but we are really trying to be more consistent. So we figured this week we would kick it off with my son’s favorite fruit: STRAWBERRIES!
To start we took the core out of the strawberries using a straw. My son did a video for my sister-in-law and it was super adorable if I do say so myself 🙂 **Please excuse all the giggles**
Chocolate Dipped Cream Cheese Stuffed Strawberries
- Small pack of strawberries
- Cream Cheese Frosting
- Melting Chocolate
- Frosting gun or Plastic bag (for frosting)
For the melting chocolate, I used Ghirardelli Chocolate Dark Melting Wafers and followed the instructions on the back of the bag and after 45 mins in the microwave I had a nice bowl of melted chocolate.
The fun part was filling the strawberries. Some I had to use a spoon to scoop a little bit off the top to make sure I had enough room for the cream cheese and it worked out great! It was nice, once I carefully dipped each filled strawberry in the chocolate and placed them on the parchment paper, the chocolate dries at room temperature so no real need to place it in the fridge initially.
The Finished Product
