When we first heard that La Nouba was closing I was so sad. My husband last went back in 2011 and also told each other that we had to take the kids, they were too young to really enjoy it then so we wanted to wait till they were bigger before we went. So when I was contacted to attend Media Night at La Nouba I was so excited! not only would it be a first for the kids but it was the perfect end to summer vacation before school started! Once we made it to our seats the kids were just a bit excited!
Ready for #LaNouba @disneysprings! So sad to see it go but tonight is gonna be so much fun. . . . . #family #fam #mom #dad #brother #sister #brothers #sisters #bro #sis #siblings #love #instagood #father #mother #related #fun #photooftheday #children #kids #life #happy #familytime #cute #smile #fun #cirquedusoleil
Cirque Du Soleil Making Fantasy Into Reality
I have been watching Cirque shows on HBO since I was a kid. We made it a whole night of it, we’d get our PJs on pop some popcorn and camp out in front of the TV dreaming that one day I would make it to an actual show. Just the way they put their shows together from start to finish brings out the kid in all of us.
“Cirque du Soleil has expanded in a wide range of creative endeavors ranging from movies to apparel and from boutiques to nightclubs. But the essence of what we do has stayed constant: we invoke the imagination, provoke the senses and evoke the emotions of people around the world.” – Source
The Show Experience
The costumes were breathtaking and the characters like something out of a fairy tale. The music is something that even I am unable to describe it felt like I was whisked away to another world. Here are some of the evening’s highlights:
See it before it’s gone! La Nouba will be departing its home in Disney Springs
“With over 8,500 performances to date, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil has been a Disney Springs staple for nearly twenty years. Since its inception in late 1998, the show has welcomed many new acts; the most recent additions include a duo of comedic clowns followed by a troupe of world-famous break dancers and a real-life couple skilled in the rarely-seen art of aerial bamboo. La Nouba has been seen by over 10 million guests and will continue to dazzle audiences with its breathtaking blend of daring acrobatics and dazzling choreography through 2017, with a final performance scheduled to take place on December 31, 2017.” – Source
