We all like to travel, it’s no secret that it is literally one of the best things that you can do. There are many things that come with travelling as well. You’ve got the relaxation, the exploration, and the one thing we probably all look forward to most, and that’s the amazing food we can eat. Hopefully you won’t spend all of your time just eating at the all inclusive buffet, because there are just so many culinary experiences to have around the world. If you travel the world, but yet don’t explore the delicacies the different countries present, then you really are missing out. So in the new year, we urge that you consider switching up your usual holiday destinations, and go on the hunt for some of the best food in the world, and see what you can discover. This article is going to highlight some of the tastiest you might find, in some of the best countries in the world.
Ok, so we wanted to start off big because we know that the biggest countries have the most to offer. One of the best things we think you will find in the US, is the freedom to eat anywhere. There are so many restaurants using delivery apps to take their delicies to the people in the comfort of their own home. If you ever go, you have to check out articles such as Doordash vs Postmates, and see if you can find a delivery service that has what you want in the area that you’re going to. On these delivery apps, you need to look for some American classics, and one local to Philadelphia that we think never fails, is the philly cheese steak sandwich. When cooked right, the sandwich is toasted to perfect, loaded with the leanest yet most succulent cuts of steak, with caramelized onions, and the perfect cheese sauce with a slight tang to it. That’s just one dish, from one state, to suit one palette. The beauty of the US is that you can eat as cheap or as luxurious as you wish!
If we’re going to talk about Spain, we have to talk about paella. It’s one signature dish to this beautiful country, and nowhere cooks it better. A traditional Spanish paella usually consists of paella rice, sauce made from chicken stock and paprika with other herbs and spices, chorizo, and the rougher cuts of meat. We’re talking pigs feet, tail, and other unique cuts of meat. There are also the fish variety, which some people find not as heavy to eat. It can range from spicy to mild, but the traditional way is to have a good kick to it.
It wouldn’t be right for us to talk about the beauty of food around the world, without talking about Italy. One dish that’s typically served as a starter, but found on every menu, is Bruschetta. It’s a beautifully crispy slice of bread, usually ciabatta, rubbed with a garlic pesto dressing. Then, onions, tomatoes, and some herbs are dressed in an olive oil and garlic dressing, and lay over the bread. It’s often finished with a balsamic vinegar dressing, and is totally beautiful to eat.
